Published Jun 05, 2013Pop Montreal is one of the biggest events on the Canadian music calendar, and even though we've yet to officially kick off the summer festival season, organizers are already looking ahead to their 12 edition. To give us a taste of what's in store, today (June 5) the fest has rolled out a few of the names that will be playing the annual event in Montreal from September 25 to 29.
Among this year's performers are The-Dream (making his Montreal debut), Colin Stetson, Shuggie Otis, Local Natives, Wild Nothing, Tim Hecker, the Dodos, Dorothy Moore, Majical Cloudz, Julianna Barwick, Portugal. The Man, Whitehorse, Legendary Pink Dots, DIANA, Cousins, SSION, Fred Eaglesmith, Pierre Perpall, and original Parliament members Fred Wesley and Bernie Worrell, among others. Additionally, Jian Ghomeshi will bring his CBC show Q to a live setting.
These acts will perform at various venues around the city. More performers will be announced in due course. In the meantime, early bird passes are available for $230 until June 30, at which point the price will go up. Get yours here.
