Polvo

"Total Immersion"

Chapel Hill, NC indie combo Polvo will drop their second post-reunion LP Siberia on October 1 through Merge Records, but you can now stream the spindly sneak peek "Total Immersion" a couple of months ahead of the street date.

The track's spiralling, detuned six-string damage chaotically coils around off-kilter drum rhythms, handclaps and lyrics about falling out of the hippie scene, apparently. It's a loose and messy, but ultimately intoxicating soundscape hinting at the "more adventurous" approach the band are said to have taken on Siberia.

"A lot of the songs on this album were not rehearsed much at all," guitarist Ash Bowie had previously said in a statement.
