The Pointed Sticks Announce Calgary and Edmonton Tour Dates, Play Japan

BY Alex HudsonPublished Feb 26, 2010

Last year, legendary Vancouver punks the Pointed Sticks released Three Lefts Make a Right, their first album in 29 years. The impetus behind this unlikely reunion was a 2006 Japanese tour, which went so well that the group decided to go ahead with a full-fledged comeback.

Now that they have a new album to promote, the band are looking to relive those successful 2006 shows, heading to Japan in July for three performances: two in Tokyo and one in Osaka. Prior to crossing the Pacific, they will head to Alberta in March for shows in Edmonton and Calgary.

With only five dates booked, it doesn't look as if 2010 is going to be a year of intensive touring for the Pointed Sticks. Still, it's not so bad when you consider that they previously went 25 years without playing a single show.

Tour dates:

3/26 Edmonton, AB - New City
3/27 Calgary, AB - The Marquee
7/17 Tokyo, Japan - FeverZone
7/18 Tokyo, Japan - FeverZone
7/19 Osaka, Japan - RockRider
