After floating out their Waltzed in from the Rumbling release in the spring, Plants and Animals are now set to takes us back to their early days by reissuing 2008 debut LP Parc Avenue. An updated, deluxe vinyl edition hits stores October 15 via Secret City Records.

A press release explains that the upcoming release shakes up the flow a bit from the original double LP pressing from 2008. The 11-song album proper will now be showcased on sides one through three, with the last side of vinyl now hosting the material from the act's With/Avec EP from 2007.

While Plants and Animals have issued four full-lengths over the years, the band note in a statement that fans often tell them about the long-lasting impact of Parc Avenue.

"People come up to us after shows all the time and say that Parc Avenue has a special place in their hearts," drummer/vocalist Matthew Woodley explained. "That it was the album they listened to over and over one big summer. Through a breakup. Falling in love. That old apartment and those people who were always around. You know? That's what they tell us."

The collection was recorded in their home studio situated off its titular Montreal street location. Woodley added, "That record is super alive, even going on a decade now. Some of those songs make it into our set every night. Viva Parc Avenue. Crazy street, crazy time."
