Though Plants and Animals make their return next month with the release of Waltzed in from the Rumbling, the Montreal trio are teasing their first full-length release in four years with another early preview. The breezy, spirits-raising "No Worries Gonna Find Us" is streaming now.
The track bounces by with elastic rock rhythms, fluid and sparkling six-strings, and rippling, Toto-style bass work. Above this, vocalist Warren Spicer offers up good vibes, assuredly denying anyone but himself the right to take control of his life.
He sings, glowingly: "I have spent all of my days in life just waiting for the time to come alive."
It's a plenty plush and positive tune, and you can stream it below courtesy of KEXP. Meanwhile, Secret City Records issues Waltzed in from the Rumbling April 29. A round of Canadian tour dates supporting the release can be found here.
