Placebo

"Too Many Friends" (video)

Angst-filled British rock outfit Placebo will release Loud Like Love next month, and they've shared a music video for the cut "Too Many Friends."

The song is a pensive, piano-flecked rock ballad that begins with the slightly bizarre lyric, "My computer thinks I'm gay / I threw that piece of junk away." The video is narrated by writer Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho, Less Than Zero). It's a unique clip that seeks to solve the mystery behind an attack by labelling clues for viewers. Frankly, it's one of the strangest combinations of a song and video we've seen in some time.

Loud Like Love is out on September 17 through Universal Music Enterprises. It's available to pre-order here.
