PJ Harvey Plans New Album for Early 2011
In 2007, long-running cult songstress PJ Harvey released her seventh studio album, White Chalk. The piano-heavy record was another departure in a diverse Timeline of work from the storied artist. Then, in 2009 she continued the streak with the release of A Woman a Man Walked By, her second collaboration with John Parish. Now, she'll likely change the game again with her next album, scheduled for early 2011.

While details are scarce, TwentyFourBit points to a MySpace blog from Nick Cave collaborator Mick Harvey, who writes, "There will be extensive touring commitments with my dear friend Polly (PJ) after the release of her new album in February 2011 so availabilities might be a bit tight early on. We recorded her album back in May in Dorset and it's a remarkable piece of work - quite unlike anything else out there. Would one expect anything else?"

Earlier this year, TwentyFourBit from Harvey herself, who said she had written much of her new album on an autoharp. There was also a live video of her performing the new track "Let England Shake", which is available for streaming below.
