The clip comes from their new album 'Beneath the Eyrie'

Pixies are once again hitting us up with a new video in support of their latest album Beneath the Eyrie. This time, the clip is for the record's "Long Rider," and it's inspired by the death of Pixies member Paz Lenchantin's friend.

The video tells the story of Desiree, described as "an ardent surfer and close friend of Lenchantin's whose final wave claimed her life a couple of years ago." The video's narrative was conceived by Lenchantin, and it was directed by Gilbert Trejo, who filmed the clip in Southern California at Will Rogers State Beach.

In a statement, Lenchantin explained, "It was almost as if Desiree had this dream before she went surfing that morning, and hints at that even if she had known her fate, she would still have taken that wave."

Watch the dream-like video for "Long Rider" below.
