Pixies' Joey Santiago and Dave Lovering Debut Their Everybody Project

Though Pixies fans are no doubt still disappointed that the band have yet to release a new album since reuniting back in 2004, guitarist Joey Santiago and drummer Dave Lovering have a new group going called the Everybody, whose debut seven-inch drops next month.

The two-song "Marooned" / "Demon Oar" single is already streaming on the duo's Bandcamp page (and below), and you can order the white vinyl platter here through Kickstarter.

The pair got together with legendary producer Eddie Kramer (David Bowie, the Beatles) to lay down the instrumental "Marooned," which a press release outlines as the foundation for the Everybody's "unorthodox song structures, syncopated rhythms, and sonic experimentation."

The flip, meanwhile, is a chopped-up reinterpretation of the track delivered by out-there Indiana-based indie experimentalists Stationary Odyssey, who renamed their version "Demon Oar," which you'll notice is an anagram for "Marooned." Clever.

The limited-edition platter is due out December 20 in a run of 300 and comes cased in a silk-screened wooden case lined with soft felt.
