Pink Wine

'Anxiety' (EP stream)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Sep 30, 2015

Toronto-based pop-punk party starters Pink Wine are set to unleash their latest EP Anxiety next week, but before it officially arrives, Exclaim! is giving you an advanced listen to the mini-release in its entirety.

Recorded by Fucked Up's Jonah Falco, the four-song set hears the band "embracing insecurities, personal neurosis and lost love" and channelling those feelings into poignant power-pop tunes. The title track kicks things off with a burst of bustling energy, which only grows in speed and ferocity on "Glass City." The flipside features the garage-rockin' "Dummy" and closes out with the chunky riffs and endearingly bratty melodies of "If I Forgave (You Know I Would)."

Anxiety arrives October 6 on 7-inch vinyl via We Are Busy Bodies, and the band will be celebrating with a hometown album release show at Old Laurel on October 3.

Right now, though, you can give Anxiety an early spin in the player below.
