Pink Floyd Keep the Reissues Coming with New 'Animals' Vinyl Release

Once again, Pink Floyd are adding to their ongoing vinyl reissue campaign. This time it will be for their classic 1977 album Animals.

The vinyl reissue is due out via Pink Floyd Records/Sony on November 18, and according to a press release, it will mark the first official vinyl release of the album in over 20 years.

Like all the recent reissues, Animals has been remastered from the original master tapes and will stick to the original album's tracklist.

Of course, Animals may be most famous for its cover, which features a pig floating above an industrial cityscape. The famed porker has taken flight several times over the years, most recently to announce a new Pink Floyd exhibit.

The Animals reissue follows other Floyd re-releases like Atom Heart Mother, Meddle, Obscured by Clouds The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, A Saucerful of Secrets, More and Ummagumma. Wish You Were Here is also being reissued on vinyl on October 14, while The Dark Side of the Moon is due out on November 4.

If that still weren't more than enough, a compilation called The Early Years 1965-1972 arrives November 11 on CD and DVD/Blu-ray, as well as digitally, via Sony. To help further promote that set, the band have shared a new music video for the 2016 remix of "Childhood's End." You can watch that below.
