Seattle's Pillar Point have become Polyvinyl's latest signing, and they've shared the A-side from their debut 7-inch for the label, "Diamond Mine."
Very little information is currently available about Pillar Point; pretty much all that we know is that their photos show a single guy, but their press materials use collective pronouns so we assume that this is a band rather than a solo act. Their Twitter and Facebook accounts only appear to be couple of weeks old.
"Diamond Mine" is a blippy electronic pop track that hints at the woozy atmosphere of chillwave but achieves something far more thumping and urgently danceable. Check it out below, and expect a 7-inch (backed with a tune called "Dreamin'") to drop later this year.
