Phosphorescent Reveals Spring Tour Schedule, Plays Toronto, Montreal

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 29, 2013

Late last year, Phosphorescent (a.k.a. Brooklyn's Matthew Houck) announced that his next album, Muchacho, will hit March 19 via Dead Oceans. He's now revealed he'll be making his way around North America this spring to support the set.

Technically, his promotion blitz starts just before Muchacho's due date at the SXSW fest in Austin, TX, but the tour proper starts March 25 in Philadelphia. The three week tour brings Houck up to Canada for shows in Toronto and Montreal. When the North American trip wraps up, he'll head over to Europe. You can see the details down below.

As previously reported, Muchacho still features Phosphorescent's folkier tendencies, but "strikes out into more adventurous waters via rhythm and electronic textures." You can sample first single "Song For Zula" beneath the dates.
