Philadelphia outfit Sheer Mag might play riff-heavy power pop, but they're really a hardcore band at heart. As such, they've just announced a mammoth North American tour.
Like any good punk band, the tour's an exhaustive journey with a mix of legit bar shows and rowdy house parties. They're hitting up SXSW, and also doing a fairly extensive batch of western Canadian dates, including stops in Vancouver, Kamloops, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina and Winnipeg.

In addition, Sheer Mag are set to follow up their 2014 cult-classic debut with a new EP on Brooklyn hardcore punk label Katorga Works. "Button Up," the first taste of the release, is available to stream below. As usual, it's a timeless, fist-pumping anthem that, on first listen, sounds classic.
