Pharoahe Monch Gets Talib Kweli, Black Thought, the Stepkids for 'PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)'

Pharoahe Monch has been dishing out pieces of information behind his PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) LP the last little while, but the veteran rapper has now detailed the album. He'll handle the release himself through his W.A.R. Media imprint and have it out on April 15.

While originally announced as an EP, the record has now been fleshed out to feature 17 tracks, including the previously teased "Damage" and "Bad MF." You can check out the latter in the stream down below.

A previous statement from the rapper noted that the effort is "a new concept project" that has Monch weighing in on the anxiety disorder and psychological trauma. It added that "Monch narrates as an independent artist weary from the war against the industry machine and through the struggle of the black male experience in America."

Throughout the LP, Monch will be joined by a handful of guests, including Talib Kweli on "Dream," the Roots' Black Thought on "Rapid Eye Movement" and the Stepkids on "Eht Dnarg Noisulli," or if you prefer "The Grand Illusion." Also appearing are Dr. Pete, Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid, deNaUn and more.

As for the beats, they're handled by Monch himself, as well as by Marco Polo, Jesse West, Quelle Chris, the Stepkids and Lee Stone, among others. You'll find all the track details down below.
