Published Jun 03, 2014Following up a pair of EP releases, reverb-soaked Vancouver garage rock crew Phantoms Again are sussing out species details in their new hazy tune, "Bat or Man."
The fuzzed-out surf six-strings and supple backbeat hover hypnagocially around Cali Travis' distortion-dialling calls. Though delivered laid-back and ethereally, the vocals run rather muffled. We're not quite sure exactly what she discovers on the genus-questioning cut, but you can hear the sonic results down below or on Bandcamp.
Phantoms Again play Vancouver's Music Waste this weekend, appearing at the Anza Club on Sunday (June 8).
