Published Jun 16, 2016Following over two decades in music, the Peterborough Folk Festival is still alive and well. To prove it, the long-running annual event has just rolled out its 2016 lineup.
This morning (June 16) organizers revealed this year's lineup for free event, which takes place at Nicholl's Oval on August 20 and August 21. Among the artists set to play are Dan Mangan, Born Ruffians, Yukon Blonde, Reuben and the Dark, Royal Wood, Fred Penner, Tim Moxam, Charlotte Cornfield and more.
You can see the lineup below, while more artist announcements are expected in the lead-up to the festival.
Along with all the free music spread across four stages, the event will host craft vendors, a children's area and a licensed pavilion.
Before the festival proper goes down, a kick-off concert will take place on August 19 at the city's Showplace Theatre. It will feature Bahamas, along with Nick Procyshyn and the Bad Milk. The ticketed event will service as a fundraiser for the Peterborough Folk Festival, and tickets are available here.
You can learn more about the event here at the festival's website.
