Peter Hook Revisits New Order Material with Live Album

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 17, 2013

While Peter Hook continues to take jabs at his former New Order collaborators, the iconic post-punk bassist is preparing to revisit that band's legacy with a new live album. The digital-only Live at Manchester Cathedral: 18th January 2013 will be out April 22 through Play Concert.

As the title indicates, the album was captured earlier this year in Manchester. During the set, Hook and his backing band performed New Order's first two LPs, 1981's Movement and 1983's Power, Corruption & Lies, in full. There's also some singles and B-sides from the era, including classics like "Blue Monday" and "Ceremony."

See the 26-song tracklist below and scroll past that to hear the live version of "Cries and Whispers," which is one of the aforementioned B-sides.

Slicing Up Eyeballs notes that Hook intends to perform New Order material in our continent this fall.
