BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jan 19, 2016

This summer, Peter Gabriel and Sting will be hitting the road together on a joint tour. Dubbed the "Rock Paper Scissors" tour, the string of North American dates will feature the two musicians performing both separately and together.

A press release notes that each artist will have the opportunity to perform their own material, in addition to "melding their bands to explore each other's most celebrated hits."

"I'm very happy that we're taking the chance to experiment this way," Sting said in a statement. "I think people will be intrigued, I certainly am."

Gabriel added, "What intrigues me is that you get a good bunch of musicians together and interesting things will happen."

The 21-date tour will kick off on June 21 in Columbus, OH, but will hit north of the border for Canadian dates in Toronto on June 29, Montreal on June 25, Quebec City on July 7, Calgary on July 23 and Edmonton on July 24. The Quebec date will mark the opening evening of the annual Festival d'été de Quebec.
