Taking a break from his day job in Peter Bjorn and John, Peter Morén has announced he'll be delivering a new series of solo EPs, which will translate some previously released Swedish language pop songs into English.

Dubbed Broken Swenglish, the first volume is set to arrive December 9 through Ingrid. The four-song release reinterprets tracks from his solo back catalogue for an English audience, with "Say My Name" ("Säg Mitt Namn"), "Going Places" ("Erik M. Nilsson") and "Constant Reaction" ("Orsak & Verkan") all having appeared in different forms on last year's Pyramiden. "To Catch Up With You" had previously appeared in its original for as "Att Komma Ikapp" on Morén's 2010 solo effort I Spåren Av Tåren.

This will be Morén's first official solo release in the U.S. since 2008's The Last Tycoon. It's unclear when the performer will serve up volume two of Broken Swenglish.

As for Peter Bjorn and John, the Swedish pop trio have yet to issue a follow-up to their 2011 set, Gimme Some.
