Pet Sun Sign to Sleepless Records for 'Feel Like I'm Going Away,' Share New Track

Hamilton, ON-based garage quartet Pet Sun have slowly been building a name for themselves with some self-released work and a handful of shows. Now, they've signed with Toronto's Sleepless Records and announced their first proper release.

Feel Like I'm Going Away was self-produced by the band and offers six tracks of psyched-out, fuzz-drenched power punk. It's fitting, then, that Sleepless will issue the EP on tape as part of Burger Records' forthcoming Cassette Store Day on September 27.

Following that release, the group plan to hit Toronto's Dream House Studios with producer Alexandre Bonenfant (Metz, Crystal Castles) and engineer Dave Plowman, where they'll record their next project for an early 2015 release date.

In the meantime, listen to the hazy "Feelin' Lazy" below. The song's a two-minute fuzz-punk singalong complete with lyrics about getting drunk and being a cretin. Also be sure to check out the band's show itinerary, which includes stops in Hamilton and Toronto.

Feel Like I'm Going Away:

1. Feel Like I'm Going Away
2. Give Me Your Soul
3. Feelin' Lazy
4. Goodbye Two-Headed Monster
5. Lutes
6. Brides

Tour dates:

09/11-14 Hamilton, ON - Supercrawl
09/25 Toronto, ON - The Phoenix Theatre
