In recent years, Pet Shop Boys have delivered a Christmas EP, greatest-hits package, ballet score and B-sides compilation. Now, the long-running British electronic pop act have announced that they have a new studio album called Elysium on the way.

The exact release date is still up in the air, but the record is slated to arrive this September through Parlophone. The collection was produced in Los Angeles by Grammy winner Andrew Dawson, who has previously worked with the likes of Kanye West, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. Several tracks feature backup vocals from James Fauntleroy, plus the Waters (aka siblings Oren, Maxine and Julia Waters).

For a taste of what the album has in store, scroll down to check out the art clip for the album's lead-off single "Invisible," a downtempo number that is mellower than much of Pet Shop Boys' best-known material. The video was created by artist Brian Bess.

Elysium follows Pet Shop Boys' 2009 album Yes.
