With Calgary's Sled Island just around the corner, festival attendees are pouring over the schedule to plan their nightly concert-going. As with any festival that hosts hundreds of acts, however, there are bound to be some cancellations, and festival organizers have just confirmed that two acts have dropped off the bill.

Virginia metal veterans Pentagram and Sydney, Australia post-punks Low Life have both cancelled their planned Sled Island appearances.

In a statement, organizers blamed "immigration issues beyond the festival's control," adding that those who purchased stand-alone Pentagram tickets can obtain a refund through their point of purchase.

Sled Island will announce replacement artists shortly.

The festival runs from June 24 to 28 at various venues across Calgary. The festival's full lineup is available here.
