Published Jun 11, 2014While already boasting a lineup with close to a hundred acts, the organizers behind this summer's inaugural Pemberton Music Festival have announced yet another batch of artists heading out to the B.C. event, including French electro duo Justice and Chicago's Chance the Rapper.
Close to 20 additional artists will stop by the Pemberton grounds between July 16 and 20. In addition to Chance and Justice (who will perform a DJ set), it appears Pemberton has a friend in singer-songwriter Randy Newman, as well as AraabMuzik, Foxygen, Minus the Bear, Rebelution, Lindsey Stirling, Tritonal, 3lau, Cashmere Cat, Treasure Fingers, the Boom Booms, Break Science, the Madd Wikkid, Nostalghia, and comedian Jay Pharoah.
The organizers also announced the daily schedules, confirming that Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden will headline July 18 and deadmau5 will take top spot on July 19, while Outkast and Frank Ocean will be closing out the Pemberton Festival on July 20.
Ahead of the weekend performances, Gord Downie will headline a free show in Whistler on July 16 that also includes the Sadies, Matt Mays and Dan Deacon. These artists will play the Pemberton grounds the next day as well.
As previously reported, other artists spread out over the course of the event include Kendrick Lamar, Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, Earl Sweatshirt, Snoop Dogg, Dinosaur Jr., Grimes, Sloan and more.
