Pedestrian Status Drifter

Bryce Clifford and his Torontonian indie rock quartet conjure an era of so-called alternative music somewhere in between '70s CBGB punk and '80s hardcore, a time of innocence best epitomised by the Replacements. And though Clifford might not share Westerberg's lyrical gift, he's certainly his melodic peer. He also possesses a totally convincing rock'n'roll voice, with a slight rasp and soulful delivery that sounds anything but pedestrian. (Independent)
