Pearl Jam and Beyoncé's Cover of "Redemption Song" to Get Holiday Single Release

BY Sarah MurphyPublished May 2, 2016

While Jay Z was busy calling "Becky with the good hair" last year, Beyoncé was sharing the stage with a grunge icon at the Global Citizen Festival. Queen Bey came out as a special guest during Pearl Jam's set, performing a stripped-down rendition of Bob Marley's classic "Redemption Song" with frontman Eddie Vedder. Now, that track will reportedly be getting a proper single release.

Continuing the group's annual tradition of releasing a holiday single for their fan club, Pearl Jam will deliver the collaborative cover of "Redemption Song" as the B-side of a delayed 2015 holiday single. The A-side will feature a live cover of Free's "Wishing Well" that was recorded in 1991.

There's no official word on when the special single might arrive — the band have been known to deliver the holiday goods as late as September of the following year — but you can check out the artwork and tracklisting courtesy of an Italian fan site below. Beyond that, relive the live performance in the video player.
