As they continue to build hype for their upcoming album Dark Matter, Pearl Jam brought their marketing genius to the streets in downtown Toronto with a series of light projections promoting the project.

The first projections appeared Tuesday (February 13) evening at the intersection of Wellington Street and Blue Jays Way, and later, at Bay Street and Lake Shore Boulevard West.

Displayed on the side of a building, the projections cycled through a series of light art pieces by Alexander Gnezdilov — as featured on the Dark Matter cover art and packaging — along with the album's name and release date (April 19).

It's worth noting that the group is marketing the project this heavily in Toronto despite having left the city off their quickly approaching world tour. Perhaps it's a sign of good things to come for local Pearl Jam fans.
