Pavement to Headline Sasquatch Festival

Ever since announcing their reunion, indie rock heroes Pavement haven't struck a single note as a band, yet they've been all over our RSS feeds. From the announcement that they'd be headlining All Tomorrow's Parties to the news that they're working on a new compilation album, the Pavement press machine has been working 24/7. And things aren't slowing down with an announcement that will please all western Canadians who can get across the border: Pavement will be headlining this year's Sasquatch Festival.

The annual event, which takes place at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA, has announced that it will be inviting Stephen Malkmus and co. to headline the shindig. The festival will be celebrating its ninth year and taking place from May 29 to 31.

Early bird three-day passes went on sale on Saturday (November 7) and, while the rest of the line-up won't be announced until February 16, it's safe to say that these will sell out fast.
