Paul Westerberg and Juliana Hatfield Releasing Their I Don't Cares Album This Friday

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 20, 2016

While former Replacements frontman Paul Westerberg and Juliana Hatfield teased their forthcoming debut as the I Don't Cares back in October with a single stream, they didn't end up saying exactly when we could expect the rest of their first full-length, Wild Stab. In a surprise move, the band now report it comes out this Friday (January 22) via Dry Wood.

UPDATE (01/22, 4:50 p.m.): As promised, the album has now arrived, and you can stream the entire thing at the bottom of the page via Spotify.

Hatfield and Westerberg unveiled the details of the LP today (January 20) while premiering album track "Born for Me" via The Current. As suspected, the 16-song set includes the previously teased "1/2 2 P." You'll find the full breakdown of the tracklist down below, while it's colourful and cartoony cover art can be found up above.

A group statement in the liner notes explains of the sessions that produced Wild Stab: "Making this music, that elusive 'never done this before' feeling permeated the little room more than once, and it was very welcome."

"1/2 2 P" and b-side "Loose Trash" can be streamed down below, while "Born for Me" can be heard over here.
