Paul McCartney Announces New Batch of Reissues
Paul McCartney has been treating his storied back catalogue to a series of reissues as of late, and the Beatle will keep the run going with the announcement of an additional four albums set to return to vinyl and CD later this spring.

Today, McCartney revealed that 2005's Chaos and Creation in the Backyard, 1977's pseudonymous Thrillington, 2013's NEW and 1978's hits comp Wings Greatest would be reissued through MPL/Capitol on May 18. All four titles will arrive on CD and 180-gram black vinyl, in addition to coloured vinyl pressings that can be seen above. The reissues are said to have been overseen by McCartney himself.

The announcement marks the return of both Chaos and Creation in the Backyard and Thrillington on wax since their respective initial release dates. Original pressings of both albums currently fetch three-figure prices on resale sites such as Discogs.

Further pre-order information for all four titles can be found here.

Around this time last year, McCartney was said to be at work on a new full-length with producer Greg Kurstin.

Thrillington (on CDblack vinyl and limited edition red and black marbled vinyl), Wings Greatest (on CDblack vinyl and limited edition blue vinyl), Chaos and Creation in the Backyard (on CDblack vinyl and limited edition gold vinyl) and NEW (on CDblack vinyl and limited edition pink vinyl) are all available for pre-order now via MusicVaultz.
