Paul McCartney "My Valentine" (ft. Eric Clapton)
Paul McCartney recently unveiled plans to release a new collection of retro-minded pop standards on February 7 via Concord/Hear Music. Now, we've got a taste of that LP in the form of one of the album's two original songs, the Eric Clapton-assisted joint "My Valentine."

This song is anchored by a sleepy jazz shuffle and brims with romantic lyrics and hauntingly descending melodies. There's no mistaking Clapton's distinctive print, as the delicate classic guitar plucking sounds a bit like it was drawn directly from Slowhand's Unplugged album.

Rumours have suggested that the album will be called My Valentine, although an update on McCartney's website says that it's "as yet untitled." Stevie Wonder will make a guest appearance on the original "Only Our Hearts."
