Published Jul 21, 2015Earlier this year, we reported that Montreal's Passovah Summer Festival had launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise money in hopes of being able to give back a bit more to the performers and staff that make the event happen. It succeeded in collecting $4,000, and now organizers have unveiled the lineup for this year's event.
It will feature nearly 100 artists, including Sam Patch (a project featuring Arcade Fire's Tim Kingsbury, Jeremy Gara and Basia Bulat), Yamantaka//Sonic Titan, Wintersleep, Miracle Fortress, Monogrenade, Jessica Moss (Thee Silver Mt. Zion), and Max Henry (Suuns).
Also on the bill are Technical Kidman, Jesse Mac Cormack, Seoul (DJ set), Dear Criminals, KROY, Lungbutter, Pang Attack, Birds of Paradise, and many more.
"Passovah Summer Fest is, and has always been, about supporting local talent," said festival founder Noah Bick in a press release. "Although it has grown significantly over the past four years, ensuring that local acts of all genres are given a unique platform to showcase their work has remained the focal point of the festival."
The fourth instalment of the now annual festival will run from August 26 to 30 at various venues across Montreal. You can find full festival information at Passovah's official website.
