Passion Pit have been riding a wave of success since the release of their new album, Gossamer, although the group were sidelined temporarily after frontman Michael Angelakos took some time off for his mental health. Evidently he's feeling better, since the electronic pop band have extended their North American tour schedule into 2013.
Over a month-long period from early February to early March, the group will be touring with opening act Matt & Kim. Together, the bands will play a number of U.S. shows, plus two Canadian dates: Montreal on February 15 and Toronto the day after. The tour itinerary will be fleshed out with more dates in the weeks to come, according to the press release.
Prior to the 2013 dates, Passion Pit will finish off the year by performing in Ireland, the UK and Mexico, in addition to playing a heap of U.S. holiday dates. See the full schedule below.
In related news, Passion Pit are featured on the soundtrack of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 with the new song "Where I Come From." The soundtrack comes out next week on November 13.
