Partner Announce 'Saturday the 14th' EP, Share New Single "Long and McQuade"

The video features all the highlights of a trip to Long and McQuade

East Coast rockers Partner have revealed plans for a brand new EP. Saturday the 14th will arrive on April 5 via You've Changed Records in Canada and Father/Daughter Records in the United States.

It marks the follow-up to the band's 2017 debut full-length In Search of Lost Time. According to a press release, the new six-song collection hears Josée Caron and Lucy Niles "questioning the rules and questioning themselves," as well as some sonic clues "for what lies in store next."

They've teased the new record with lead single "Long and McQuade," which any instrument-wielding Canadian will recognize as an ode to the long-running music store chain. The accompanying video is hilariously filmed in one of the store's locations, and sees Caron and Niles noodling in the guitar section, hogging the electric drumkit and admiring the guitar straps with flames.

Other track titles include "Fun for Everyone (Minions)" and "Stoned Thought," as well as a vinyl download and CD bonus track called "Angel's Wings" — a.k.a. the English title for track five, "Les ailes d'un ange."
