Parquet Courts "Stoned and Surviving" (live on 'Fallon')
The promotional campaign behind Parquet Courts' LP Light Up Gold has stretched across three calendar years, as the post-punk-leaning Brooklynites released the album in 2012 and reissued it in 2013. Having subsequently unveiled the Tally All the Things That You Broke EP, the campaign continues into 2014. With U.S. and international touring on the horizon, the band swung by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night (January 9).

The four-piece don't have an overtly flashy stage presence, but they did a good job of giving the LP cut "Stoned and Surviving" a fiery run-through. Bassist Sean Yeaton headbangs a little while holding down the bouncy bassline, but the real star here is frontman Andrew Savage, who snarls the lyrics and shows off some ultra-raw guitar work.
