Paper Beat Scissors Announces Sophomore LP, Premieres New Track

Songwriter Tim Crabtree originally hails from Britain, but he's been making a name for himself in Canada since launching his project Paper Beat Scissors in Halifax. His sophomore album is called Go On, and it will be out on August 14 through Forward Music Group/Ferryhouse.

Album sessions began in 2013 with engineer Dean Nelson (Bat for lashes, Thurston Moore, Stephen Malkmus) in London, ON. Later sessions took place in Nova Scotia, Montreal, New York and the English county of Lancashire before the results were eventually mixed by Graeme Campbell (Rich Aucoin, Joel Plaskett).

According to a press release, this sophomore album "masterfully maneuvers between grandiose chamber pop, aching experimentation and cinematic sonic landscapes." It's the follow-up to 2012's self-titled debut.
