We already knew that Panda Bear was recording a new album with Spacemen 3's Sonic Boom, and now a new song has emerged on a mixtape for France's Assis ! Debout ! Couché ! festival.
Labelled "Marijuana Makes My Day," the song sounds a bit like "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" being played at the end of a long tunnel, as Noah Lennox sings about the joys of weed over swaths of reverb-drenched, African-sounding harmonies. This is apparently a live version (which would explain the slightly rough vocals), although it's difficult to tell with so much sonic murk.
There are some kaleidoscopic visuals to go along with it, although it's not clear if this is an official video or simply a fan-added accompaniment.
