Published Feb 27, 2014It's been a good week to be a fan of Brooklyn indie pop crew the Pains of Being Pure at Heart. After announcing plans to release their third album Days of Abandon, they've now shared lead single "Simple and Sure."
The three-and-a-half-minute song suggests a new direction for the band, skimping out on fuzzed-out electric guitars in favour of pure pop bliss. There's a bouncy drumbeat, plenty of synths and a radio-ready sing-along. Just try to sit still through "Simple and Sure."
Check out the song below. Days of Abandon arrives on April 22 via Yebo Music.
UPDATE: The album has been delayed and will now arrive on May 13.
