The Pack A.D. to Start Recording Third Album
All of the United States' favourite blues duos have moved onto other things: the White Stripes are on an extended, anxiety-induced hiatus, while the Black Keys just unveiled a rap project under the name Blakroc. Vancouver's the Pack A.D., however, remain true to their roots, churning out whiskey-soaked blues rock and putting on an explosive live show.

According to a post on their MySpace, band members Becky Black and Maya Miller will be entering the studio within a week to begin work on their third album, the follow-up to 2008's Funeral Mixtape. The album is due out sometime in 2010.

Although there's no official word on what label will be releasing the record, it seems likely that the Pack A.D. will be sticking with Mint Records (the same label that put out their first two records).

As previously reported, the duo are scheduled to play at Mint Records' Christmas party along on December 4 with label-mates Hot Panda, Vancougar, Kellarissa and more.
