The Pack A.D.

"Cobra Matte" (video)

This latest video from Vancouver's the Pack A.D. proves that no matter how tightly syncopated the duo's music may be, the blues rockers' tunes tend to make a mess of things. Standing in front of a concrete slab, the band's Becky Black and Maya Miller do their best to ply out the goods, but an off-camera crowd disapprovingly hucks wads of food wastefully onto the pair. Either that or the twosome were trying out for a relaunch ofDouble Dare.

Black's guitar hooks are just about as chunky as the pints of salsa that pelt her mid-song. And it's a good thing the group are wearing goggles, because those tomatoes look mighty ripe. You can check out the clip, which is capped with Miller's helmeted-dome getting doused with silly string, below.

Also, get ready for a new Pack A.D. album. The group are entering the studio with Jim Diamond, the Detroit producer who has worked with everyone from the Dirtbombs, Detroit Cobras, and White Stripes, to record a new LP, which is slated for release later this year.
