P.O.D. Made a Great Christmas Song but They Forgot to Include Nü-Metal

Christian nü metal torch carriers P.O.D. are one of the most versatile acts in their incredibly niche subgenre, which is why it should come as no surprise that they can release such a solid Christmas song without any heavy nü metal parts.

Instead, "Christmas Lullaby" offers exactly what it promises in its title — a gentle, comforting Christmas tune that will rock you gently to sleep.

"With limited time, we went into the studio under the impression we were supposed to record a rock and roll, novelty, holiday jingle," frontman Sonny Sandoval said in a press release. "To our surprise, we came out with a Christmas lullaby that will prove, in time, to be a classic, timeless holiday song that will always be a part of your special Christmas memories from now on."

Guitarist Marcos Curiel added, "'Christmas Lullaby' inspires me, gives me hope during these uncertain times. It's a positive, beautiful Christmas vibration. Thought-provoking and heartfelt. It resonates from Southtown, San Diego, all the way to the North Pole."

"Christmas Lullaby" is the first of many weekly holiday drops planned from Mascot Records in their "Christmas Rocks" series. Look for other new tunes set to arrive from Black Stone Cherry, Crobot, Ayreon and many more.
