Ozzy Osbourne Biopic on the Way?

Following the unprecedented success of his recent memoir, I Am Ozzy, the rumour mill is buzzing that an Ozzy Osbourne biopic is in the works. The book, which came out in October of 2009, spoke candidly of Ozzy's career, including his various drug addictions over the years.

According to a report from The Pulse of Radio, Sharon Osbourne is hoping to have the film in theatres by next year. "Next year I want to work on a movie for Ozzy," she said. "He's had offers for his book. That lady from An Education could play me - she's fabulous!" The process will probably move along a little faster if Sharon can learn the names of her potential cast, in this case being Oscar-nominated actress Carey Mulligan.

Without giving too many details, Osbourne continued to say that the ball is already rolling to get the film in production. Johnny Depp is being considered as a possible Ozzy.

On top of the movie, the Osbournes are also plotting a return to TV with Osbourne Family Values, another Ozzfest and a new Ozzy solo album, which will be released this summer.
