Oxia

24 Heures

On his debut album, France’s Olivier Raymond, aka Oxia, has worked to convey the textures of his daily moods. He has mixed electro, techno, dub and house to express his various states of mind and has created an album that suits both the home and the club. "Reflexion” and "Intuition” are the first tracks to grab attention, the former with its rolling bass and energising beat. The Berlin-styled tech dub of the latter better suits its name, with submerged sounds and muffled thumping. Detroit techno permeates the dreamy "TNN” and the driving "House Nation Re-work” ends the album but presses the party onward.
