Owl & the Pussycat

Owl & the Pussycat

When it's the guy who's the pussycat while the gal is the owl, you know there's got to be some unique chemistry going on. Lois Maffeo and Greg Moore, aka Owl & the Pussycat, have developed an intimate collaboration resulting in a beautifully sparse folk-rock album. Lois Maffeo's recorded work dates back to the late '80s and her reputation as an indie-pop icon simply known as Lois is undisputed. Greg Moore has only recently come to public attention as half of the Moore Brothers, whose recent debut displayed moments of inspired melody and devotional '60s songcraft. These two lush and captivating voices combine seamlessly to create a stunning album of drum-free gentle folky pop songs. The songwriting has a classic feel of permanence over innovation. These tracks are sweet, warm and comforting in the best sense possible.
