Ty Segall Projects Get Reissued by In the Red

BY Josiah HughesPublished Dec 11, 2012

As Ty Segall fans know, the fuzzed-out and prolific pop dude has released a shit ton of records. It's at the point where he could probably stop recording for good and we'd have plenty Segall to get us through our lives. Still, there are some Ty Segall albums currently not in print, which In the Red Records has taken upon itself to remedy.

Make room on your shelves, because In the Red will issue two currently unavailable Segall projects on CD and vinyl on January 22.

The first is a self-titled album from the Traditional Fools, a garage group Segall played in with Andrew Luttrell and David Fox. The lo-fi LP, which flirts with surf and punk sounds, was released in 2008 and quickly sold out.

Then, in 2009, Segall teamed up with Mikal Cronin to release Reverse Shark Attack, another vinyl-only release that sold out quickly. Described as "equal parts danceable garage rock and effects-ridden psychedelia," a press release suggests that it touches on both the Beatles and the Ventures.
