It comes from one of two EPs the Nigerian-Canadian artist has shared this year

Before sharing his uplifting DIOBU EP this past July, Ottawa-based ASUQUOMO laid down unrelenting raps on four-track mixtape OT RIDDIM. Now, the Nigerian-Canadian artist has given that project's "Don't Be Scared" the music video treatment.

Directed by JustJay, the visuals for "Don't Be Scared" are an engaging juxtaposition of shadow and light, opening with an establishing shot of a bone-chilling Ottawa winter. ASUQUOMO leads viewers into the darkness with inspired delivery, his energy augmented with well-placed video effects, sudden colour inversions and jump cuts.

As the video points out, discretion is advised due to footage that may potentially affect viewers with photosensitive epilepsy. OT RIDDIM and DIOBU are available to purchase and stream here.
