Ottawa's Arboretum Festival is set to return to Rideau Pines Farm for a second straight summer this year, and organizers are heating things up ahead of time with a lineup reveal and a new name.

The festival's seventh edition, dubbed BON-FIRE, will take place August 17 and 18. The event promises to be "an end-of-summer weekend party featuring groundbreaking independent music and dance parties, fuelled by feasts of regional food and drink."

This year's edition features headliners Wolf Parade and Jessy Lanza leading the way, with Chad VanGaalen, Shay Lia, Jennifer Castle, Bonjay, Corridor, Casper Skulls, Mauno, Bambii, Chippy Nonstop, Ansley Simpson, Witch Prophet, Bonnie Dune, Napster Vertigo, Construction and Destruction, Shaq France and Heavy Medicine Band following close behind.

"There are limits to what we could do downtown," creative director Rolf Klausener said in a statement. "We wanted to throw the weekend bush party you'd hear about Monday morning at your high school locker."

Early bird weekend passes, which also include return shuttle bus transportation from Ottawa's downtown core, can be had for $50. Details for day passes and the festival food program will be announced in June.

Further BON-FIRE festival and ticketing information can be found through the event's official Facebook event.
