Ottawa Punks the Creeps Announce 'Eulogies,' Stream the Entire Album

Ottawa's fertile punk scene isn't limited to garage and power pop, as the long-running group the Creeps are back with another collection of dark, brooding pop punk.

The band, which includes members of Crusades, have returned with a new 10-song LP called Eulogies.

According to a press release, the album sees the group expanding on their dark lyrical subject matter:

Death still remains at the center of the songs, but it has changed. The feelings of anger and despair no longer manifest as murder. They have turned inward. Suicide has arrived. Eulogies are not sung to celebrate the memory of your victims, they are being sung for you. So well are the songs of Eulogies written, they raise concern within me for the author. Is this really just a run at a new theme to work with, or should I be worried for my friend? I picked up the phone and called.

Eulogies, their fifth full-length, is set to arrive on July 15 via It's Alive. Rather than make you wait, however, you can stream the whole thing here now on Exclaim.ca.

The Creeps will also perform during the Ottawa Explosion Weekend this week on Friday (June 13).
