Published Mar 01, 2016Organizers behind the annual Ottawa Explosion Weekend have announced the first wave of acts who will be blasting through the capital this year, including hometown punk hero Steve Adamyk, Fat Wreck crew Night Birds and Phédre.
A blog post on the Ottawa Explosion Weekend website confirms that the sixth instalment takes place across the city from June 15 to 19. One of the highlighted events will be a showcase for Don Giovanni Records, which will find New Jersey's Screaming Females headlining a show that will also feature sets from Vacation, Worriers and Shellshag.
Other acts attached to the event so far include Mike Krol, the Drearies, Wet Brain, Soupcans, Sneaks, Old and Weird, New Fries, Laika's Orbit, Nervosas, Century Palm, Colleen Green, Whoop-Szo and more.
In addition to the Steve Adamyk Band, other Ottawa acts set to appear include Black Tower, BB Cream, Pith and the Parenchymas, and the Creeps.
More band announcements will be made in the coming weeks, with info on passes and individual tickets to be revealed at a later date as well.
