Organizers behind the Ottawa Explosion Weekend have announced a second wave of bands making their way to the Capital this year, with big additions including Vancouver-bred punks White Lung, Halifax garage-pop unit Monomyth, Toronto's Teenanger and more.

The second batch of bands was revealed on the Ottawa Explosion blog today (February 27), adding 15 acts to the punk- and garage-minded event that runs June 17 to 21. On the Canadian front, other acts now confirmed to appear include Feral Trash, Crusades, White Wires, Black Tower, First Base and Century Palm. Statues member Rob Seaton will also use the Explosion to debut his new Der Faden project with drummer Sarah Wotherspoon (the Johnnies).

U.S. outfits recently added to the festival roster include Underground Railroad to Candyland, Sheer Mag, Street Eaters, Street Kyle & Abandos, and the Jeanies.

Last week, the Ottawa Explosion had revealed the first round of artists taking part in the punky event. This included the Steve Adamyk Band, Red Dons, Needles//Pins, Toys that Kill, Guantanamo Baywatch, the Ballantynes, Nervous Talk, New Swears, Sonic Avenues and more.

An early bird pass for Ottawa Explosion is currently up for $60 over here. The pass gives you entry to every show from the fest, though this is subject to capacity.
